Neurocritical Care (NCC)
The Department of Neurology at Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC), a major academic medical center within the Hackensack Meridian Health system, seeks to employ two separate full-time positions in neurocritical care. Candidates will have completed a residency in Neurology and fellowship in neurocritical care. Candidates should be ABPN BE/BC and from a fellowship program accredited by ACGME or UCNS. Faculty appointment at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine (HMSOM) is a requirement with rank commensurate with experience.
The NCC program currently features 5 NCC providers & 11 APPs. The NCC & step- down units are located in a brand new, state-of-the-art facility with a CT in the ICU. NCC supports complex neurosurgical, stroke, neuromuscular, neuro-oncologic, epilepsy, and other conditions. The stroke program is a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center serving over 800 total stroke patients/year & supported by 8 vascular neurologists, 4 neuro- interventional specialists & 10 APNs.
The position will be recruited for by the Director of Neurocritical Care, Kaitlin Reilly-Kit, MD, and Florian P. Thomas, MD, PhD, Founding Chair & Professor of Neurology at HUMC & HMSOM.
