Endeavor Health is combining the duties of two significant physician leadership roles in pursuit of excellence - the Endeavor Health NorthShore Hospitals Chair, Neurology, and the Endeavor Health Medical Group (EHMG) Physician Executive, Neurology. This unique position includes leadership responsibilities across the four 5 Star CMS rated and US News and World Report ranked Endeavor Health NorthShore Hospitals (Evanston, Glenbrook, Highland Park and Skokie Hospitals) - where the majority of the system’s academic activities currently take place. As Chair, this physician executive will lead 85 Neurology providers (67 employed physicians, 4 affiliate physicians, 14 APPs) across the NorthShore hospitals/region. As EHMG Physician Executive, he/she will lead 112 total employed Neurology providers (87 physicians and 25 APPs – includes the NorthShore providers) across the health system. Reporting through both the Endeavor Health System President, Acute & Ambulatory Operations and the Endeavor Health Chief Physician Executive, this leader has an opportunity to advance the clinical, academic, and research missions across Endeavor Health. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in an academic environment and significant experience leading clinical operations, program development, and recruitment of diverse providers to achieve superior clinical outcomes and strategic growth priorities. The Chair, Department of Neurology is responsible for oversight of clinical quality, provider performance, the effective administration and growth of the Endeavor Health NorthShore Hospitals’ Neurology department.

The Endeavor Health Medical Group Physician Executive for Neurology is critical for maximizing the impact of the service line for the Endeavor Health Medical Group. This leader partners with their administrative dyad partner to build a consistent, optimized, and differentiated employed practice across all of the Endeavor Health service areas. This position will lead provider recruitment for the EHMG and clinical program development to improve outcomes, increase access, improve patient/team member experience while improving on overall provider engagement. The EHMG Physician Executive, Neurology is the key physician leader who develops the clinical vision for the EHMG in the area of Neurology, including what services will be offered, where they can be performed most effectively and by what providers, and sets expectations for superior clinical outcomes, as well as patient loyalty and team member engagement.

Qualified candidates will hold an MD, MD/PhD or equivalent, plus an MBA or similar degree is preferred, be board certified in their area of expertise, and be eligible for medical licensing in the State of Illinois.
