Houston Methodist Sugar Land – Neurology Opportunity - Multiple Sclerosis Specialist

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is currently seeking a compassionate Neurologist that is
fellowship-trained in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) to join our multispecialty subspecialist neurology group in
Sugar Land, TX. Our team consists of 6 physicians, 1 neuropsychologist, and 1 psychiatrist, serving the
diverse patient population of Sugar Land and the surrounding communities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert clinical care for patients with neurological conditions, with a focus on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of Multiple Sclerosis and related disorders.
• Conduct comprehensive neurological evaluations, including history-taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests, to formulate accurate diagnoses and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• Educate and counsel patients and their families on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and care planning, involving them in decision-making processes.
• Participate in departmental meetings, conferences, and multidisciplinary discussions to contribute to the collective knowledge and expertise of the neurology group.
• Maintain accurate and complete electronic medical records (EMR) and comply with all hospital and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

•  Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited medical school
• Completion of residency in Neurology from an accredited program
• Fellowship training in Multiple Sclerosis or neuroimmunology
•  Board certification or eligibility in Neurology
• Valid TX medical license
• Excellent clinical skills, including history-taking, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic tests
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
