For over 100 years, a leading children's hospital in Atlanta, GA has focused on transforming pediatric care, and continues to build a program dedicated to making sure children have access to the specialized care they need. In conjunction with the department of pediatrics, they are excited to welcome a Pediatric Epilepsy Program Director to their growing program. The new hire will join a world-class team of doctors and clinical teams who deliver a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment and care of children and young adults with neurological disorders.

Currently, the health system is comprised of a total of 786 beds between three hospitals. The brand-new $1.5 billion hospital opened in Fall 2024. The new hospital has a special emphasis on the needs and comforts for their patients, kids, and their families.

Additionally, many urgent care centers and specialty care centers can be found throughout the state. The program also enjoys a University affiliate relationship.

About the Pediatric Epilepsy Program Director Role –
Qualified and eligible candidates must have epilepsy fellowship training, alongside a strong interest in epilepsy clinical research. The new hire will participate in the teaching of neurology residents and epilepsy fellows, as well as the staffing of the program’s 8-bed EMU, Fast Access Neurology Clinics, and the reading of LTVM/EEG studies.

Preferred Qualifications & Job Responsibilities –

  • Candidates must be board-certified or eligible in pediatric neurology and the subspecialty of epilepsy
  • Candidates must be proficient in interpreting EEGS and Long-Term Video Monitoring
  • Candidates must have prior leadership and/or program development experience
  • Provide patient care within the respective clinical area
  • Participate in and incorporate Quality Improvement and research findings into practice
  • Educate and assist trainees with medical decision making
  • Actively respond to patient and clinical staff questions and requests.
  • Participate in meetings/activities as required to support operations
