Job Details
Vassar Brothers Medical Center, part of Nuvance Health, just 75 minutes north of New York City in Dutchess County, has excellent opportunities for employed, full-time Neurologists to join our growing Neurosciences Program. We are seeking dedicated and well-trained neurologists to join our busy and growing outpatient practice located in Poughkeepsie, NY. We recently received full accreditation for an ACGME approved residency program so there is ample opportunity for someone that is passionate about supervising, educating, mentoring, and evaluating residents and medical students. The Neurology Division is part of a comprehensive neurosciences program that spans our larger 7 hospital system and includes Neurosurgery, Interventional Neuroradiology, and rehabilitation.
Our ideal candidate will be a well-trained, board certified/eligible neurologist looking to join a highly capable team of established and respected neurologists. Subspecialty training is desired but not a prerequisite. New or recent graduates are welcome to apply. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and dues expenses as well as a relocation stipend.
Located on the banks of the scenic Hudson River, Vassar Brothers Medical Center has a brand new 696,000-square-foot, eight-level inpatient pavilion with 264 private medical/surgical patient rooms and 30 critical care rooms. Vassar provides the leading acute and critical emergency care in the region, recently adding Level II Trauma Service and Interventional Neuroradiology. Vassar has established centers of excellence in cardiac services, cancer care and women and childrens health services. Vassar is consistently ranked as one of the strongest cardiac programs in the United States and one of the Top 100 Heart Hospitals by Modern HealthCare Magazine.
Vassar is part of Nuvance Health. Nuvance Health serves 1.5 million residents across New York and Connecticut and includes more than 2,600 aligned physicians, 12,000 employees, seven hospitals (Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Northern Dutchess Hospital, Norwalk Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center, Sharon Hospital, and Vassar Brothers Medical Center), a large network of primary care and specialty practices, and multiple affiliated organizations.
We are a Section 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and therefore eligible employees may qualify for forgiveness of certain federal student loans under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
WE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER. Qualified Applicants are considered for positions and are evaluated without regard to mental or physical disability, race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, genetic information, military or veteran status, sexual orientation, marital status or any other classification protected under applicable Federal, State or Local law.
