Ambulatory Neurologists:
At Rochester Regional Health, our Neurologists have the freedom to shape their ideal career in a supportive environment that prioritizes work-life balance.

- Established Department: RRH’s neurology team includes specialists in: Neuroimmunology Memory Care Epilepsy/Neuromuscular Headache Neurophysiology (EMG).
- Balance of General and Subspecialty Neurology: We are looking for Neurologists who are dedicated to seeing general neurology referrals while also having the opportunity to pursue their subspecialty interests with sufficient patient volume.
- Flexible Work Schedules: Customize your schedule with options for outpatient-only, inpatient-only, or a mix. We welcome both full-time and part-time opportunities; with no mandatory inpatient or hospital consult call coverage, though inpatient consult opportunities are available.
- Call Schedule: Participate in a call rotation of 1 week every 7-8 weeks for after-hour clinic calls.
- DEFINED BENEFIT PENSION PLAN: Rare in today’s market, our Defined Benefit Pension Plan leads a comprehensive benefits package.
Neurohospitalist/Vascular Neurologists:
- 100% Inpatient Focus: Your expertise is solely dedicated to inpatient care, ensuring you provide the highest level of care without the distractions of outpatient responsibilities. 7/7 Schedule with
- Shared Call: Benefit from a balanced work-life schedule with 7 days on, 7 days off, and shared call responsibilities. You’ll be supported by a dedicated team, including separate consult service for stroke, general neurology and Telemed service, all with dedicated APP support.
- Accredited Excellence: Work in facilities that have earned the prestigious CARF accreditation, ensuring the highest standards in patient care and rehabilitation.
- State-of-the-Art Facilities: Practice in Rochester General Hospital, now a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, equipped with a state-of-the-art biplane suite and advanced technology to support your work.
- Expanding Program: Be part of a growing program that continues to expand its geographic reach and services, including Teleneuro and Telestroke. You’ll encounter a wide variety of cases, ensuring your work is dynamic and engaging.
- High Stroke Volume: Rochester General Hospital manages a high volume of stroke cases, with 900 strokes per year, offering you unparalleled experience in stroke care.
- Research Opportunities: Engage in research initiatives supported by the health system, though not contractually required. Current clinical trial is OCEANIC.
- Faculty Appointment within PM&R Residency: Optional faculty appointment within our PM&R Residency program is available to further enhance your professional growth. Protected administrative time is negotiable.

The Neuroscience Institute at Rochester Regional Health offers state-of-the-art, comprehensive neurologic care across various specialties. Patients have access to services ranging from general neurology to highly specialized care for conditions like epilepsy, headaches, movement disorders, and memory issues. The institute emphasizes seamless, multidisciplinary care by collaborating closely with primary care and other providers to enhance patient outcomes.
Additionally, the Golisano Restorative Neurology & Rehabilitation Center plays a key role in providing advanced rehabilitation. It supports patients recovering from strokes, spinal cord injuries, and other neurologic conditions through individualized therapy plans. This center focuses on helping patients regain their independence by integrating advanced technology, physical therapy, and personalized care strategies.
