Cognitive Neurologists in South Florida

The University of Miami Health System is in search of Cognitive Neurologists for our UHealth Miami downtown and Boca Raton Comprehensive Center for Brain Health.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Strong clinical background in the area of Cognitive/Memory Disorders Diseases
• Involvement in the clinical care of patients at the Uhealth satellite clinics
• Participate in educational and mentorship activities of Cognitive Division and Department of Neurology
• Train, mentor physicians and staff
• Obtain data and results that can be used to submit an application for future clinical research awards
• Perform clinical-cognitive-functional-behavioral assessments, analyze fluid, genetic and imaging biomarkers, test novel pharmacologic, non-pharmacologic and integrative interventions to investigate the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases
• Clinical experience involves integration into our transdisciplinary collaborative care approach to the diagnosis and management of older adults with various neurodegenerative disorders
• Perform clinical-cognitive-functional-behavioral assessments, analyze fluid, genetic and imaging biomarkers, test novel pharmacologic, non-pharmacologic and integrative interventions to investigate the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases
• Obtain data and results that can be used to submit an application for future clinical research awards

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• MD/DO required 
• Cognitive/Memory disorders fellowship preferred
• Board certified/ Board Eligible 
• Eligible for Florida Medical License
