Job Details
The University of Chicago's Department of Neurology seeks full-time Sleep Neurology faculty at any rank. Appointees will join a growing neurosciences service line, which includes the opportunity to practice at University of Chicago’s expanding clinical locations both in and outside of our main campus in Hyde Park. Appointees will participate in clinical, educational, and research activities including outpatient clinic, inpatient service (may be optional if a pure outpatient position is desired), polysomnogram and home sleep study interpretations, and involvement with fellow, resident, and medical student education. Administrative and leadership roles may be available. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) have completed an ACGME accredited residency in neurology, 4) have completed an ACGME accredited sleep medicine fellowship, and 5) be board certified or board eligible in neurology and sleep medicine.
We especially welcome applicants with an interest in practicing sleep medicine. Other areas of interest such as general neurology or headache medicine could also be considered as part of this role.
