Job Details
The fifth largest medical center in Illinois and one of the only Level 4 Epilepsy Centers outside Chicago is seeking Epileptologists, Neuromuscular Medicine Specialists, Neurohospitalists and Neurointensivists to join their highly collegial group in Central Illinois. In addition to staff epileptologists, there is a leadership role for the qualified candidate.
Epilepsy Opportunity highlights:
- Level 4 NAEC
- 5 Bed EMU, with potential to expand to 7 beds with capacity for approximately 400 EMU patients per year
- Candidates with surgical epilepsy and brain mapping experience/training welcomed but all epileptologists invited to apply
- Experience with perioperative stereo-electroencephalogram (SEEG) analysis is necessary
- Experience or willingness to learn the indications and management of VNS, RNS, and DBS for epilepsy is strongly recommended
- 3-4,000 EEGs annually (2/3rds inpatient EEG)
- Monday to Friday schedule, working both with inpatient and outpatient settings
- 4 NL residents per year – expanding to 5 neurology residents per year
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects related to epilepsy care
- Courtesy faculty appointment from University of Illinois
- Teaching opportunities through affiliation with University of Illinois
- Very collegial culture between neurology, neurosurgery and trainees, excellent mentorship

Neurocritical Care Opportunity Highlights:
- 7on 7 off schedule
- 18 bed Neuro ICU
- 54 bed adult neuro unit
- High volume program with a busy interventional practice and appx. 1,000 stroke admission per year
- Opportunity to work with Anesthesia, Neurosurgery and Neurology residency programs
- Advanced neuro imaging including: MRI, FMRI, petscan, CTA/CTP with AI processing, SPECT
- Courtesy Faculty appointment from University of Illinois
- H1B visa support available
Neurohospitalist Highlights:
- 7on 7off schedule
- Stroke fellowship training or experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Participate in teleneurohospitalist rotations
- 18 bed Neuro ICU
- 54 bed adult neuro unit
- Busiest stroke center in Illinois with 1,000+ stroke admission per year
- Opportunity to work with Anesthesia, Neurosurgery and Neurology residency programs
- Advanced neuro imaging including: MRI, FMRI, petscan, CTA/CTP with AI processing, SPECT
- Courtesy Faculty appointment from University of Illinois
- H1B visa support available
Neuromuscular Highlights:
- 100% neuromuscular volume
- M-F schedule
- Neuromuscular fellowship training or experience required
- Call is 1 day a month and includes hospital call
