The University of Maryland Department of Neurology is seeking  a  M.D. or M.D.-Ph.D. clinician with expertise in vascular neurology to join the Department at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.   This is a full-time position that will encompass 20% at UMMC and 80% at UM Capital Region Medical Center.  At UMMC clinical responsibilities will include covering the Vascular Neurology service responsible for clinical coverage of stroke inpatient care and Brain Attack Team (BAT) coverage.  At UM Capital Region this position will cover Vascular Neurology and General Neurology. This position will work closely with Neuro-Critical Care, Neurosurgery, and inpatient neurology services to assure patient flow and transfer, and assist with data metric analysis of morbidity, hospital acquired infections, length-of-stay, and mortality.

 

Qualifications

All applicants should be clinically trained in an accredited Neurology residency program, be ABPN Board Certified, and have completed an accredited vascular neurology fellowship training program.
