Mount Auburn Hospital, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital serving the greater Cambridge, MA area seeks a Neurologist to join the division. The ideal candidate should possess a strong interest in all of clinical neurology. All subspecialties will be considered.
Mount Auburn Hospital caters to a diverse mix of urban and suburban patients and is characterized by an exceptionally collaborative and collegial working environment. The hospital is affiliated with Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH), one of the largest healthcare systems in Massachusetts. The physician selected for this role will be eligible for a faculty appointment as in Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The responsibilities of this position are primarily to provide outpatient neurologic care. Those with subspecialty experience in EMG or EEG would have opportunity to include these procedures into their practice. Expectations include inpatient and Emergency Department consult of neurologic patients, including acute stroke patients, averaging one day per week. Weekend and night coverage will be in rotation with the rest of the Neurology faculty.
Medical education is a key responsibility -- the selected Neurologist will provide education of attending physicians, medical residents and medical students by contributing to Medical Grand Rounds, Neurology Grand Rounds and all activities of the Division of Neurology. Candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology.
