Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI) in Phoenix, Arizona, is a focused neuroscience institute and internationally recognized leader in neurology and neurosurgery, neuroradiology, and cutting-edge research.  Drawing patients from the entire United States, Mexico, Canada, and worldwide, BNI has 13 subspecialty clinics in Epilepsy, Headache, Sports Neurology and Traumatic Brain Injury, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Neuro-Oncology, Neuro-Otology, Movement disorders, Neuromuscular diseases, Neurovascular and Stroke disorders, Alzheimer’s disease and Cognitive disorders, Neurocritical Care, Neuroimmunology, and Neuroendocrinology. Our neurologists work closely with over 30 neurosurgeons and 30 PhD and MD scientists in a facility that is uniquely state-of-the-art. All BNI faculty hold academic title appointments with University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix and Creighton University School of Medicine. 

Join a Neurology Department comprised of over 65 faculty members and featuring multidisciplinary programs using full range of treatment modalities to care for patients. The Department has a vibrant neurology residency program and subspecialty fellowships with large, state-of the-art inpatient and outpatient facilities, a dedicated outpatient neurology infusion center, neuropsychology, social work, physical, occupational, recreational, and speech therapies, and acclaimed community outreach programs. Job Summary: Barrow Neurological Institute's Alzheimer’s and Memory Disorders Division is a growing division with substantial extramural research funding and an active clinical trials portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a diverse and medically complex patient population in collaboration with an experienced, highly skilled, and comprehensive team of four neurological specialists active in patient care, improving the lives of patients and exceeding their expectations. The program focuses on comprehensive care for patients and care partners of Alzheimer’s and related disorders and includes a dedicated cognitive health advisor team, nursing staff, medical assistants, and program director. Duties include outpatient clinical care, occasional in-patient consultation, with emphasis on teaching neurology residents, fellows, nurses, and advanced practice providers as well as participation as an investigator in clinical research. Medical students from University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix and Creighton University School of Medicine rotate through the department.

Job Specifications: Applicants must have an M.D., M.D. / Ph.D., D.O., be Board certified/Board eligible in Neurology by ABPN and successfully completed Fellowship training in cognitive disease (Geriatric Neurology or Behavioral Neurology). Ability to obtain a state of Arizona medical license at time of employment. BNI academic rank and track will match applicant’s qualifications.
