Position Highlights:
- The Neurology Department at Crystal Run Healthcare is a busy, well-established, state-of-the-art practice serving patients throughout Orange County, Hudson Valley, and the lower Catskills. We have the team, equipment, and support you need to practice at the peak of your license and thrive as a Neurologist or Neurophysiologist today and tomorrow!
- Fellowship-trained, physician-led, patient centered team-based care environment. Educate and empower your patients to take ownership of their health.

- Stability of an established, reputable practice within a collegial multispecialty group with an exceptionally large referral base of over 400 local providers spanning over 70 medical and surgical specialties and sub-specialties.
- Direct support staff and teams to assist with patient care and workflow. Autonomy and independence in practice, including a strong affiliation with local tertiary care hospital(s) and ambulatory surgery center(s) that provides a full range of medical and surgical Neurology care services.
- Desirable Monday – Friday schedules during normal business hours that promot3 work-life balance. Manageable and equitably shared rotating on-call support and local inpatient rounding (i.e., 1:8-week rotation).
- Patient census – primarily adult focused (18+).

Position Responsibilities:
- The Neurology specialists at Crystal Run Healthcare are based out of our office locations in Middletown, NY; Monroe, NY; Newburgh, NY; West Nyack, NY; and Rock Hill, NY. An ideal candidate would be someone willing to share time weekly between at our Middletown, NY office 2-3 days per week and travel to our nearby Monroe, NY office the other 2-3 days per week; however, we could also consider basing someone at one of these locations based on individual preference.
- Investigate, diagnose, and treat full range neurological disorders, which include diseases of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles – such as headaches, back pain, neuropathy, carpal tunnel syndrome, stroke, seizures, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and a variety of other neurological disorders.
- Common therapies used by our team of neurologists include physical therapy, medications, nerve blocks/stimulators, trigger point injections, and BOTOX® for various neuromuscular conditions, including headaches. In some cases, neurosurgery may be required.
- Comprehensive medical and surgical neurological care within a team of 9 highly skilled, fellowship-trained Neurologists and Advanced Practice Clinicians.
- Consult with patients about the status of their neurological health, while providing them with the latest advancements in care. Refer patients to advanced specialists as needed.
- Examine & diagnose patients to determine need for procedure / surgery, oversight of all treatment prior to and post-surgery and identify associated risks.
- Order tests and interpret results to determine the best treatment options.
- Maintain appropriate medical records and results. State-of-the Art diagnostic equipment and technology, including: Computed Axial Tomography (CAT Scans).
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Ultrasound of major blood vessels of the head and neck. Neurophysiologic studies. Electroencephalography (EEG). Electromyography (EMG)/evoked potentials. Lumbar punctures (spinal tap) to assess cerebrospinal fluid.

Required Qualifications:
- Completion of (or in process of completing) accredited relevant fellowship training program(s). BC in Neurology and any additional relevant Neurology sub-specialties.
- Unrestricted New York State Medical License (or ability to obtain).
- Current New York State DEA certificate (or ability to obtain). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
New York Residents Only: The salary range for New York residents is $284,306 to $414,001 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement.
