Specifically, we are looking for a clinician with expertise in tertiary care inpatient neurology who will be assigned at the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) as a neuro-hospitalist covering the inpatient neurology service (the “Clinical Neuroscience Service” or CNS). Faculty member will make daily rounds with their team, meet with discharge planning and inpatient rehabilitation teams, and work closely with Neuro-Critical Care, Neurosurgery, Epilepsy, and Stroke services to assure patient admissions, transfer, flow and discharge.  The faculty member will assist with data metric analysis including length-of-stay and morbidity/mortality.

The faculty member will have the option for a limited outpatient practice either seeing hospital discharge follow-up patients or another sub-specialty of their choice, approximately 1 session (half-day) per week when not covering the inpatient service.

Citizenship to the department, the hospital, and the SOM in the form of participation on committees is expected.
