Job Details
The Foster School of Medicine’s Department of Neurology is seeking a Child Neurologist at the rank of Assistant Professor level or higher. This is a full-time faculty position with a proposed date of July 1, 2024, or earlier. The ideal candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient pediatric neurology clinical services at El Paso Children’s Hospital (EPCH) and outpatient clinic services of TTUHSC El Paso, participate in teaching and training of residents and medical students (including didactic lectures and resident supervision), participate the advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship, and participate in institutional governance, such as committee work.
The candidate must have:
• M.D. or D.O. degree
• Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited child neurology residency program
• Board certification in Neurology with special qualification in child neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or successful completion of neurology subspecialty fellowship from an ACGME-accredited program in the United States.
• Texas medical license, or eligible for licensure in Texas.
Preferred qualifications include Bilingual (Spanish and English), and regional or emerging national recognition in the area of specialty for consideration towards the rank of associate professor or higher.
