Health Sciences Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor of Neurology

  

The Department of Neurology at the University of California, Los Angeles is recruiting for a new faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level (HS Clinical series) for expansion of our clinical care. This care can be in general neurology or the subspecialty areas of neuromuscular medicine, movement disorders or headache medicine.

 

Requirements & Job Summary:

 

The successful applicant must have obtained a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD or equivalent degree(s) and completed a neurology residency.  Completion of an appropriate subspecialty fellowship program, such as in movement disorders, neuromuscular or headache medicine, is preferred.  The applicant will participate in the clinical, teaching, and research activities of the UCLA Neurology Department and within an appropriate subspecialty if this is relevant.

 

The UCLA Neurology Department is a high-volume center and the successful applicant will work closely with neurologists of many subspecialties in an exciting academic practice. The goal of this recruitment is to expand clinical care for patients and families as well as broaden the training for medical students, residents and fellows.  The applicant will also participate in community outreach and CME activities for related health care providers.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment.

The salary range for this position is $175,000 to $250,000 with the opportunity for higher earnings contingent on performance-based incentives. This position [includes/may include] membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
