Child Neurology Opportunity

Applications are invited for a full-time faculty position as a Child Neurologist in the Division of Pediatric Neurology in the Department of Pediatrics at Albany Med Health System and Albany Medical College. We are seeking an outstanding board-certified or board-eligible child neurologist to join our vigorous clinical program. Applicants with an interest in general child neurology as well as those with subspecialty training in epilepsy or neuromuscular diseases are preferred.

The division consists of a seasoned child neurologist, three pediatric nurse practitioners, three part-time attendings, a neuropsychologist, a psychologist and a social worker with excellent nursing and administrative support. The Bernard and Millie Duker Children’s Hospital is the only children’s hospital in northeastern New York with support from a full complement of pediatric subspecialists as well as an affiliated adult neurology department with active epilepsy, neuromuscular, vascular and movement disorder divisions. There is also an active epilepsy surgery program with opportunities to expand into pediatrics. The successful candidate will also be expected to take advantage of the many opportunities to interact with medical students and the house staff within the Neurology and Pediatrics Departments with an academic rank commensurate with their qualifications.
