MUSC’s clinician-educators enjoy rewarding and diverse careers focused on the clinical care of patients, as well as our educational missions and research endeavors.  

The Department is seeking innovative neurology physicians with a commitment to clinical research, and experience or training in the specific areas of Neuromuscular Neurology, Cognitive/Behavioral Neurology, and the treatment of Movement Disorders. 

We are seeking Neurologists with: 

  • Board certification or eligibility 
  • Focus on collaboration, innovation and teamwork 
  • An interest in clinical research, the comprehensive care of patients, and a desire to educate the next generation of neurologists 

The Medical University of South Carolina’s Neurology Department is the premier clinical leader in South Carolina. Our program includes the only Level 4 Epilepsy Center, the first Parkinson’s Foundation Center of Excellence, and the first established Muscular Dystrophy Association® (MDA) Care Center in the state. Our Comprehensive Stroke Center has been recognized by The Joint Commission and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, and our ALS Clinic has been certified by the ALS Association as a Treatment Center of Excellence. Our department includes seasoned clinician-educators in the subspecialties of neuromuscular disease, epilepsy, stroke, neurocritical care, movement disorders, neurooncology, multiple sclerosis, cognitive disorders, headache, neuroophthalmology, and general neurology, all working together to drive advancements in the treatment of neurological disorders.
