Mount Auburn Hospital, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is seeking a neurologist with an expertise in neuromuscular disorders to join the growing Division of Neurology.  Mount Auburn Hospital was founded in 1886 as the first hospital in Cambridge. With 217 licensed beds in all private rooms, the hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission, member of the American Hospital Association Council on Teaching Hospitals, and the Association of American Medical Colleges. Mount Auburn’s mission is to expand access to outstanding care, and advance the science and practice of medicine through education and research. As part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, the Mount Auburn Hospital position offers an outstanding opportunity to work in a stable, vertically integrated system.  BILH currently employs 35,000 individuals making it the second largest employer in Massachusetts and consists of over 200 locations including 13 hospitals. Over 4,000 physicians are associated with BILH including 840 primary care physicians managing 1.3 million patients. Candidates would enjoy a generous compensation and benefits package.

The ideal candidate should have completed a neuromuscular disorder fellowship, but also possess a strong interest in all of clinical neurology.  The responsibilities of this position are to provide primarily outpatient neurology care and perform EMGs. Weekend call (inpatient and emergency department consults) is in rotation with the neurology attending staff. The candidate would grow a vibrant, existing neuromuscular disorder practice. Medical education is a key responsibility as well; the selected neurologist will provide education of attending physicians, medical residents and medical students by contributing regularly to Grand Rounds and all activities of the Division of Neurology. The candidate is eligible for a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School at the instructor level, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Candidates must be board certified/board eligible in neurology.
