The Department of Neurology at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona is seeking a Neurologist with expertise in tertiary-level epilepsy care to join our practice.
The Epilepsy division is looking for a subspecialty trained, board certified epilepsy physician with a clinical focus. Activities and necessary skills include staffing the epilepsy clinic, epilepsy monitoring unit, interpretation of routine and hospital-based EEG including continuous EEG monitoring, intraoperative electrocorticography, and management of neurostimulation devices (VNS, RNS, DBS). Expertise in epilepsy surgery evaluations including stereo-EEG, subdural electrodes, and stimulation for functional brain mapping is required.
Candidates must have strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team. Epilepsy division faculty are also actively engaged in education of medical students, residents, and fellows in both inpatient and outpatient practice. There are ample opportunities for candidates with combined clinical and research interests. License or Certification
Candidates must be board-certified in Neurology, Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology. Clinical neurophysiology training must have had an emphasis in EEG and included direct experience in surgical evaluation.
