Job Details

An academic medical center in Philadelphia is seeking outpatient Neurologists and a Neurointensivist to join its growing neurology team at their nearby community outpatient clinic and at it's main campus. A Neurohospitalist could also be a great fit at the program's community hospital. Enjoy the benefits of a large and collegial neurology team, with all the trappings of academia - subspecialization, neurology resident teaching, and APP support, but none of the pressures to publish and pursue research unless desired. Subspecialists with an interest in Neuromuscular/EMG, Epilepsy/EEG, Movement Disorders, and Headache could also be a great fit in outpatient roles on either campus, though most subspecialties can be supported in the context of General Neurology.

Experienced neurologists, as well as those recently out of training are encouraged to apply if interested in learning more. Enjoy the opportunity to sub specialize, immediate volume, and the support of a large and well-equipped team. The overall system provides many opportunities to be involved in research, teaching, and clinical collaboration, in addition to teaching the program's neurology residents. The entire network is dedicated to patient care and commits itself to maintaining a technological edge.

Main Campus Position Highlights:

  • Opportunity to teach Neurology residents and do research
  • Outpatient-focused positions, and Neurocritical Care
  • 7-on/7-off schedule for Neurocritical Care
  • Sub-specialization available and encouraged
  • 2-bed EMU
  • 8am-5pm schedule
  • 1:9 call schedule
  • Option is available for zero call
  • ½ day administrative time on Fridays
  • 4-6 weeks per year of Inpatient coverage, though an Outpatient only schedule is also available

Community Campus Highlights:

  • Family, Radiology, and Emergency Medicine Residencies
  • NP and PA support
  • Outpatient-focused positions, and 7-days-on/7-day-off Neurohospitalist position
  • 8am-5pm outpatient schedule
  • ½ day administrative time on Fridays
  • Up to 6 weeks per year of Inpatient, though an Outpatient only schedule is also available
  • Option is available for zero call
  • Opportunity to work with residents 1-2 days per week at main campus, if interested
