An award-winning academic medical system in New Orleans is seeking Movement Disorder and Behavioral neurology specialists to join its growing Neuroscience Center at its main campus and general neurologists for their outpatient clinics in the suburbs.

The system is also partnering with the Center for Brain health in their recruitment of a neurologist that is trained to assess and treat mild to moderate traumatic brain injuries (TBI). The physician will work with athletes at all levels, former professional and collegiate athletes, as well as military veterans with mild to moderate TBI and associated co-morbidities. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for individuals dealing with neuro-trauma, and other vestibular challenges resulting from spinal cord or brain injury.

  • Majority outpatient, no call position available (can also support inpatient interests as needed)
  • Support for subspecialty volume within the context of a general neurology practice especially for headache neurology, memory disorders and clinical neurophysiology (EEG/EMG)
  • Interest in clinical research especially welcome and well-supported
  • Faculty position available
  • J-1 visa waiver support available

TBI Position Highlights:

  • Primarily TBI volume with opportunity to develop other general & subspecialty interests
