TTUHSC El Paso Department of Neurology serves the El Paso, Texas metropolitan area. Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center’s Department of Neurology is seeking a full time Neuro-Interventionalist (NIR) at the Assistant Professor level. This is a full time position with a proposed date of July 1, 2023 or earlier.
The candidate must have a M.D. / D.O., successful completion of an accredited Neurology Residency Program, successful completion of Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology (ESN) fellowship and Neuro-Critical Care (NCC), or Vascular Neurology (VN) fellowship from an accredited program. The candidate must be Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and must have a Texas license or be board-eligible for licensure in Texas. The Department prefers the candidate to be bilingual (Spanish and English) and for the consideration at the rank of Associate Professor be at regional or emerging national recognition in the area of specialty.
The candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient adult neurology clinical services including serving as stroke consultants in assigned neurology outpatient clinic and providing consultation services at the affiliated hospitals.
Will conduct neuro-interventional procedures and provides neuro-critical care or stroke services. The candidate will be expected to supervise resident clinics and participate in the overall teaching program for teaching and training of residents and medical students, to include presentation of lectures, perform academic research and scholarly activities in the Department of Neurology and participate in committees and other administrative duties as assigned by Chair.
Additionally, the candidate must ensure compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations, adhere to institutional and departmental policies and procedures, and demonstrate professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine’s Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility.
