Allegheny Health Network is seeking a highly skilled physician to join our rapidly growing Institute as a Movement Disorders Specialist for the Northern Market. You will be an integral part of an elite group of physicians who collaborate through our innovative clinical programs that serve as national referral centers for the treatment of all types of neurological conditions.

 

In addition, Allegheny Health Network’s Enterprise Equitable Health Institute is creating a national model for the recruitment of health professionals that are committed to the health equity and to the inclusion of underrepresented individuals in medicine (URiM). The Talent Attraction Program Pittsburgh (TAPP) Loan Repayment & Retention Program offers loan repayment up to $60,000 per year to qualifying applicants.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology
  • Pennsylvania License
  • Fellowship trained or clinical experience in the applicable specialist field

 

Requirements for the TAPP Program:

  • Completion of separate application
  • Function as liaison between Allegheny Clinic or the applicable Allegheny Health Network institute and the resident community, including for selected disciplinary efforts
  • Work with Enterprise Equitable Health Institute as part of its recruitment, retention, and promotion initiatives

AHN Neuroscience Institute:

Our Institute integrates renowned experts in the subspecialties of neurology, neuroradiology, neuro-critical care, and neurosurgery to offer leading-edge diagnosis and treatment for patients with the most complex neurological disorders across 7 hospitals throughout Western PA.

The Neuroscience Institute currently staffs 22 neurosurgeons and 28 Neurologists who specialize in a myriad of neurosurgical disorders, including brain, spine and skull-based surgery, stroke, movement disorders, cranial nerve disorders, neuro-oncology, epilepsy, headache, neuromuscular disorders, dementia and concussions to name a few.  The Department has a quaternary care facility within Allegheny General Hospital (AGH) in Pittsburgh PA, that has a level 1 trauma center, and a level 2 trauma center at Forbes Regional Hospital (FRH), located in Monroeville, Pa.

The Allegheny General Neurology Residency Program has five (5) approved residency positions per year. Through ‘Advanced-link’ it combines four (4) years of training into our ACGME-accredited preliminary Internal Medicine and Neurology Residency Programs.
