Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center’s Department of Neurology is seeking a full-time Neurologist at the Assistant Professor (or higher) level.  This is a full-time position with a proposed start date of May 1, 2023, or earlier.  The candidate must have an M.D. / D.O., successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency program, Board Certification in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and Texas Medical License or be eligible for licensure in the state of Texas.    

The Department prefers the candidate to be bilingual (Spanish and English), fellowship trained in Neurophysiology, Neuromuscular Diseases, Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, or Multiple Sclerosis from an accredited program in the United States, and have regional or emerging national recognition in the area of specialty if being considered for Associate Professor or higher level. 


The candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient adult neurology clinical services in the assigned neurology outpatient clinic and provide consultation services in the affiliated hospitals, provides direct patient care and consultative service to other medical professionals, assist with Epilepsy Clinic and conduct other neurological patient care services to include diagnostic readings such as EEGs/EMGs according to subspecialty expertise, supervises resident clinics and participates in the overall teaching program for teaching and training of residents and medical students, to include presentation of lectures.  The candidate will also perform academic research and scholarly activities in the Department of Neurology, and participate in committees and other administrative duties as assigned by the Department Chair.  Finally, the candidate is also expected to ensure compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations; adhere to institutional and departmental policies and procedures, and demonstrate professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine’s Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility.
