Saint Luke’s Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute is seeking a BC/BE neuro-hospitalist with interest in Vascular Neurology to join a team of neurologists and neuro-hospitalists. This is a premier opportunity to work among the nations best at a Comprehensive Stroke Center.
About the position
• Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City provides the region’s most advanced stroke care, including stroke-reversal therapies and treatment to more than 4,000 patients each year
• Saint Luke’s is a leader in using both drug and mechanical interventions to reverse the permanent and debilitating effects of ischemic stroke—our doctors performed one of the world’s first intra-arterial stroke reversal procedures in 1993
• Academic appointments are available at University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine commensurate with level of experience
• Supported by interventional neuroradiologists & a 24/7 code neuro nurse team, all collaborating in an 18-bed, dedicated neuro ICU
• 100% inpatient volume; Will rotate at the comprehensive and busy primary stroke center with the help of residents and advanced practice providers
• Current schedule is 15-17 weekday shifts (10 hrs) and 8-9 weekends per year – Open to alternative schedules
• Ample leadership and research opportunities; Foundation is well endowed and will internally fund research
