The University of Miami Health System, Department of Neurology is searching for an Assistant Professor of Neurology in the Cognitive Division.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

  • Strong clinical background in Cognitive/Memory Disorders Diseases
  • Clinical care of patients at the Uhealth satellite clinics and inpatient service
  • Participate in educational and mentorship activities of the Cognitive Division and Department of Neurology
  • Care for patients in the UHealthSystem outpatient settings
  • Train/mentor physicians and staff
  • Preparation and presentation at teaching conferences
  • Support the clinical and educational program in Memory Diseases
  • Obtain data and results that can be used to submit an application for future clinical research awards
  • Strong clinical and research background in the areas of clinical or translational research in Cognitive/Memory Disorders Diseases

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MD degree from a recognized accredited University (or foreign equivalent) Cognitive/Memory disorders fellowship is also required Board certification in Neurology is strongly recommended Eligible for Florida medical license Good communications skills (face to face, over the phone and in writing) Excellent customer service skills Ability to work collaboratively with other employees
