Neurohospitalist and Zero-Call Outpatient Opportunities in Sunny Florida!

A health care system in Fort Myers, FL is seeking neurohospitalists and general neurologists to join its growing inpatient and outpatient practice. The new neurohospitalist hire will cover two of the four hospitals within the system.

The hospital is a 624 bed acute care facility that is centrally located in Fort Myers FL, that offers a Neuroscience Institute, orthopedic services, and general surgery. The hospital offers 24/7 access to emergency care and minimally invasive catheter procedures to treat stroke, as well as a dedicated neuroscience intensive care unit. The health system has a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center with two other hospitals certified Primary Stroke Centers.

They are the area’s only Level II Trauma Center and DNV Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. One facility is a 362 bed Level II Trauma Center serving their County and the surrounding areas, 24/7 ER with exceptionally trained staff, and houses the Rehabilitation Hospital.

Neurohospitalist Highlights:

• Ability to read EEGs is required

• Movement Disorder could build subspecialty volume over time but would begin as a true general neurology position
