(Movement Disorders)

The Department of Neurology at the University of California, Los Angeles is recruiting for two new faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level (HS Clinical series) for expansion of our clinical care. This care can be in the subspecialty areas of neuromuscular medicine or movement disorders.

Requirements & Job Summary:

The successful applicant must have completed an appropriate subspecialty fellowship program, such as in movement disorders fellowship or neuromuscular medicine. The applicant must have outstanding clinical and teaching skills with specific expertise in EMG/nerve conduction studies if trained in Neuromuscular Medicine or in care of movement disorders patients and administration of chemodenervation therapies if trained in movement disorders. The applicant will participate in the clinical, teaching, and research activities of the UCLA DBS Program in Movement Disorders.

The UCLA Neurology Department is a high-volume center and the successful applicant will work closely with neurologists of many subspecialties in an exciting academic practice. The goal of this recruitment is to expand clinical care for patients and families as well as broaden the training for medical students, residents and fellows in the field of neuromuscular medicine and movement disorders. The applicant will also participate in community outreach and CME activities for related health care providers.

The minimum salary range is between $175,000 to $230,000 with the opportunity for higher earnings contingent on performance-based incentives.
