The Department of Neurology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, ranked the No. 1 hospital in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and the No. 2 hospital in Texas by U.S. News and World Report, is seeking an academic neurologist to become Section Head of the Neuro-Oncology Section in the Department of Neurology.  UT Southwestern is recognized for offering an exceptional level of expertise in Neuro-Oncology, providing effective treatment options based on the latest research and the highest standards of care. Faculty in the Department are a vibrant group of nine full-time clinicians and researchers, including internationally recognized leaders in the treatment of all tumor types of the central and peripheral nervous systems as well as faculty PIs who have a total award budget of $4M.

The Department also has a robust departmental Faculty Development Program consisting of a didactic series on how to be successful in academics and a dedicated mentorship program provided by senior faculty members for each junior member; each faculty member is assigned a mentor.  The successful candidate will conduct subspeciality clinical care and/or research focused on Neuro-Oncology.

Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule.
