The Department of Neurology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, is seeking BC/BE Neurologists for faculty positions in multiple subspecialty areas (U.S. or any system cognizable as compatible for patient care purpose in the U.S.).   Washington University, which houses the top NIH funded Department of Neurology in the country, is particularly known for its collaborative atmosphere and mentoring of young faculty members in a vibrant city with a favorable cost of living.  Applicants at all academic ranks are encouraged to apply. Patients come from the St. Louis metropolitan area as well as surrounding regions covering a multi-state area. Education is a vital part of the mission, and opportunities will be available for teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows in connection with patient care activities.   Salary is guaranteed with additional performance incentives and excellent university benefits.


  • General Neurology: Primary responsibilities include outpatient evaluation and management. In addition to outpatient clinics, successful applicants will have the ability to participate on the inpatient neurology consult service and other specialty clinics as available. 
  • Headache Medicine: Primarily outpatient management of patients with headache and facial pain. Fellowship training or UCNS certification preferred but not required.
  • Neurohospitalist: Seeking dynamic clinician-educator to join an academic in-patient and consult general neurology teaching service. Work with outstanding residents and Neurohospitalist colleagues at top-ranked Washington University-BJH hospital consortium. Opportunities to participate in program development such as teleneurology and/or research are available based on physician interest.   Combined inpatient and outpatient practice opportunities are also possible.
  • Movement Disorders: Seeking fellowship trained movement disorders specialist for outpatient evaluation and management of patients with movement disorders in an academic program with state of the art medical and surgical treatment capabilities.
