An academically affiliated program in Western Michigan is excited to welcome vascular trained neurologists, a neurovascular Section Chief, and a neuro-oncologist to their growing program. This is a terrific opportunity for someone who has an interest in sub-specializing in stroke or neuro-oncology, having access to teaching and research but also enjoy an outstanding compensation package. 

Program Highlights:

  • Health system is comprised of 10+ hospitals with over 2,000 beds
  • 1000 bed flagship hospital
  • Level 1 Tauma Center
  • Certified comprehensive Stroke Center
  • On-site neurology residency and fellowship programs
  • Opportunities for research with the nearby research institute

Vascular Neurology Highlights:

  • 100% stroke volume
  • Currently a team of 5 attending vascular neurologists, growing to 7
  • Opportunity at flagship hospital
  • 4 stroke service lines in weekly rotation
  • Shift model based scheduling
  • Robust support system to include very experienced, dedicated stroke APP's and neurohospitalists, 3 neuro interventionalists and neurocritical care neurologists on staff
  • Teaching opportunity- 4 residents, 2 stroke fellows per year
  • Faculty appointment
  • Leadership opportunity- Neurovascular Section Chief role for the interested candidate
  • Visa support Available

Neuro-Oncology Highlights:

  • 100% neuro-oncology unless provider wants to do general neurology
  • Fellowship-trained neurosurgical oncologist on staff
  • Faculty appointment
  • Ample opportunities for teaching
  • The position is an endowed position and can offer up to 1 day per week of research
  • Will work under the department of neurology
