The Department of Neurology at Yale University seeks a neurologist with fellowship training in Movement Disorders to join the Division at the rank level of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology.
With a strong foundation of clinical and research excellence, the Yale Movement Disorders Center is a comprehensive clinical program that delivers integrated care across the continuum of all movement disorders with seamless integration of research programs and education of our trainees. With the development of the new Comprehensive Care Center for Parkinson Disease, clinical, research, and educational programs will expand to its highest level with state-of-the-art, individualized care for every patient in a multidisciplinary model. This offers applicants an exciting opportunity for individual programmatic development and goal discovery across varied academic interests.
Applicants should have clinical expertise in the recognition, diagnosis and comprehensive management of patients across the full spectrum of all movement disorders. In addition to conservative approaches and medication management, applicants should be well trained in chemodenervation of movement disorders and spasticity, and in deep brain stimulation candidacy and programming. As an academic institution, education of fellows, residents, and medical students, as well as participation in clinical research is anticipated. We seek motivated Movement Disorders specialists pursuing career growth within their specific academic interests in a highly collaborative, supportive, and mentored environment.
Applicants must have an MD or equivalent and be board certified/board eligible in Neurology and have completed a fellowship in Movement Disorders. Further, applicants must meet the criteria for medical licensure in the State of Connecticut.
