Job Details

The Department of Neurology at the University of California, Davis, is recruiting a Sleep Medicine Neurologist for a full-time faculty position.

The position is open at the Assistant/Associate/Full rank in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor (HSCP) or the Clinical Neurology series. The academic rank of the position is commensurate with the level of experience and qualifications of the applicant.

Faculty members provide outpatient and inpatient clinical care; teach medical students, residents, and fellows; and provide university/public service. Outpatient clinic includes a mix of new and follow up patients with dedicated days to read polysomnography’s/home sleep tests. All clinical faculty serve on the inpatient general neurology consult service and supervise the neurology resident continuity clinic in rotation with other department faculty.

The UC Davis sleep lab is located in a state-of-the art outpatient facility specifically designed and integrated into an outpatient Neurosciences Clinic in the heart of midtown Sacramento. The sleep laboratory has six beds and six home sleep test devices and is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days per week.

For the HSCP series, an emphasis is placed on clinical service and teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. For the Clinical Neurology series, the position also requires participation in clinical trials, translational, and collaborative research.

• California medical license or eligibility for licensure in the State of California
