EEG Technician

RWJ New Brunswick

RWJBH is seeking an EEG Technician in the EEG department for the New Brunswick campus. This is a full-time, night position (40 hours/week).

 

The hours for the position are 11:00pm - 7:30am with weekend and holiday rotations required.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Performs EEG hookups and monitoring of LTM, routine EEG, EMU, intracranial EEGs, Evoked Potentials on both inpatients and outpatients.
  • Provides care to both adult and pediatric patients.
  • Will be trained to perform Transcranial Doppler studies.

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Completion of an accredited/formal EEG training program or on the job training required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of previous hospital experience preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • ABRET EEG Certification preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
