Job Details
The Neuropsychology Service within the Department of Neurology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC), nationally renowned for research, clinical care, and education, is seeking a full-time bilingual (Spanish-English) neuropsychologists at the Assistant Professor level whose caseload will include at least 50% Spanish-speaking patients.
The Neuropsychology Service provides outpatient neuropsychological evaluations to adults and older adults. Clinicians will play a significant role in training, including supervision and teaching of neuropsychology externs and post-doctoral fellows. While clinical care and training will be the primary responsibilities, CUIMC has a well-developed and integrated clinical research program. All clinicians have the opportunity to collaborate on research projects without the need to secure their own research funding.
Qualifications
Minimum Degree Required: M.D. and/or Ph.D
Minimum Qualification:
Candidates must have a doctoral degree in neuropsychology or clinical psychology from an APA accredited program with an APA accredited pre-doctoral internship and have completed a formal two-year postdoctoral fellowship or equivalent in clinical neuropsychology. Applicants should be licensed or license-eligible in the State of New York.
Candidates should be board-certified or eligible for ABPP board certification in clinical neuropsychology; 2-5 years post training clinical experience and expertise in the assessment of dementia is preferred. However, candidates from a broader range of training will be considered.
