                                                VICE CHAIR, CLINICAL NEUROSCIENCE RESEARCH

DEPARTMENT OF NEUROLOGY

BRIGHAM AND WOMEN’S HOSPITAL

The Department of Neurology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital is seeking a physician or physician-scientist with a track record of administrative, leadership, clinical research, and scholarly accomplishments for the position of Vice Chair, Clinical Neuroscience Research. Hospital appointment will be commensurate with the individual’s degree of experience. Academic appointment at Harvard Medical School will be at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor dependent upon the individual’s prior experience and scholarship. The Vice Chair, Clinical Neuroscience Research will serve in a senior leadership role within the Department of Neurology with responsibility in the oversight of clinical research operations, including clinical trials.  In this role, the Vice Chair, Clinical Neuroscience Research will work closely with the Chair, the Vice Chair, Basic Neuroscience Research, and other departmental leaders in the management of the department’s overall research enterprise.  Additionally, the candidate will be expected to perform at least 50 hours per year of teaching as per Harvard Medical School. The candidate should have a strong track record of administrative, leadership, research scholarship, mentoring and teaching trainees.  To be considered, candidates must hold the M.D., M.D./Ph.D., Ph.D. or equivalent related terminal doctorate degree combination. Candidates should have strong teamwork, management, and interpersonal abilities.
