The University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville KY is recruiting for a full-time academic neuro-oncologist in the Department of Neurology for the U of L Heath system.

Applicants are sought at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor rank, with an academic appointment at the University of Louisville School of Medicine that is commensurate with experience and resume. The selected candidate must have excellent clinical skills with an interest in outpatient and inpatient neuro-oncology care, a track record of clinical and/or translational research, as well as strong leadership skills.

This leader will work with an outstanding team of neurologists, neuro-oncology nurse practitioners, neurosurgeons, radiation oncologists, and neuropathologists throughout the U of L Health System. The candidate will partner with the Department of Neurosurgery and serve as Medical Director of Neuro-oncology in the James Graham Brown Cancer Center to engage in advancing the clinical, research, and educational missions of this entity with specialized interests in primary brain tumors and metastatic tumors to the central nervous system.

Position Qualifications:
•ABPN certification in Neurology
•Subspecialty fellowship training and board certification in neuro-oncology
•Outstanding communication, bedside manner, and professionalism; excellent organizational skills
•A strong work ethic and capability for effective collaboration in the multi-disciplinary care of patients with CNS tumors, including evaluation and enrollment in clinical trials
•A track record of clinical and/or translational research and a vision for establishing a program of clinical and/or translational research in neuro-oncology,
