The Department of Neurology at Columbia University is seeking full-time basic, translational or clinical researcher with an expertise in sleep medicine to join our already very active research faculty. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, aging and dementia, movement disorders, neurodegenerative disorders, epilepsy, and stroke. The ideal candidate would have an established track record of funded research and publications, with a field of research that compliments and/or expands on one of the many established research groups at Columbia. For candidates with clinical backgrounds there may be opportunities in clinical sleep medicine as well. Teaching of epilepsy/clinical neurophysiology fellows and neurology residents in sleep medicine is also expected.

Qualification Requirement
All applicants MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered for the position.
Faculty rank is expected to be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, commensurate with experience and achievement. Must be able to meet New York Presbyterian and ColumbiaDoctors credentialing.
Preferred Qualifications
For M.D. candidates, board certification in Neurology is required and board certification in sleep medicine preferred. New York State Medical License is also required for clinical practice.
