Assistant Professor of Neurology
Department of Neurology, Division of Behavioral and Cognitive Neurology, and the Vanderbilt Memory and Alzheimer’s Center
Description The Department of Neurology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the Vanderbilt Memory and Alzheimer’s Center are recruiting an outstanding early career candidate for an Assistant Professor faculty position. The role is designed for a candidate with fellowship training in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry. The Behavioral and Cognitive Division of the Department of Neurology is a collegial environment, focused on establishing a patient-centric interdisciplinary clinical care model, expanding research collaborations across the medical center, and developing innovative educational initiatives. Currently, the division is comprised of a combination of neurologists, neuropsychologists, neuroscientists, geneticists, and nurse practitioners.
The Vanderbilt Memory and Alzheimer’s Center is a robust institutional interdisciplinary Center, focused on identifying molecular factors that increase risk or promote resilience to Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. The center thrives on a rich collaboration of over 60 faculty, across 20 departments, integrating diverse disciplines across Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Vanderbilt University, and Meharry Medical College. The candidate will integrate into the Vanderbilt Memory and Alzheimer’s Center as a co-investigator and enjoy a unique opportunity to integrate clinical research and clinical practice and expand educational initiatives of the center.

Position Requirements
Applicants must be board certified or board eligible in Neurology and must be able to obtain medical licensure in the State of Tennessee.
