AdventHealth is looking for a dynamic, caring, and energetic neurologist with fellowship training in either neuromuscular diseases or EMG’s to help continue to grow our expanding program in Central Florida.  We are growing into one comprehensive team that will focus this outpatient program around our eighteen hospitals system in our Central Florida Division totaling over 4000 beds.  The new physician would join with our existing team of neurology subspecialty leaders in Neuromuscular, Headache, Neuroimmunology, and Movement Disorders as well as our general neurologists. 

AdventHealth Orlando is continuing to grow its Neuroscience Institute with a new Brain Health flagship building opening in 2022.  Our Neuro Critical Care Fellowship was accredited by the UCNS in early 2019.  Our Neuroscience Institute at AdventHealth Orlando consists of 120 dedicated neurology beds which includes 40 neuro-intensive care units, 8 dedicated neurosurgical OR suites with an intraoperative 3T MRI and 64 slice CT, FDG-PET, SPECT, and MEG lab.  AdventHealth Orlando has been awarded the highest designation, a Level 4 Epilepsy Center, by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC). 

AdventHealth also has an advanced comprehensive stroke center providing endovascular procedures 24/7. Our neurosurgery program performed more craniotomy and spine surgery than any other hospitals in Florida. Our minimally invasive brain surgery program is one of the best in the state and draws patients nationally and internationally.  We also have a fully developed DBS program.    

Requirements:

  • Physicians must be board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. 
  • Fellowship training in Neuromuscular Diseases or EMG’s
  • Strong emphasis and interest in EMG’s
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player mentality

 

Practice Description

 

This is an employment opportunity through AdventHealth Medical Group, a 800+ physician, multi-specialty organization. AHMG is a sister organization of AdventHealth.
