We are seeking an Epileptologist to join our Epilepsy Division in the Department of Neurology at Houston Methodist Hospital which is a Designated Level 4 by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers.  Interested applicants, please forward a copy of your CV to Rob Henges - rhenges@houstonmethodist.org 

Qualified Candidates:

  • Completed neurology residency
  • Fellowship in epilepsy
  • Ability to obtain a Texas medical license or have a Texas medical license in good standing
  • Ability to read EEG studies, EMU recordings, intro-operative monitoring and perform presurgical evaluation
  • Assess the needs and plan medical intervention for individuals/families
  • Facilitates the delivery of care expected from an Epilepsy subspecialist
  • Ordering diagnostic studies such as laboratory tests, CT scans, MRIs, PET scans, EEGs, EMGs and other electrodiagnostic tests
  • Assists individuals/families to achieve optimal levels of health through collaboration with medical and health care professionals
  • Exercises medical decision-making and provides a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services for a specific group of patients
  • Exhibits leadership in initiating changes in patient care programs based on current concepts and findings from research and/or studies
  • Involved in direct patient care, patient and family teaching, staff education and multidisciplinary consultations and collaborations
  • Participates in education of PA students, NPs, Fellows, Residents, and Medical Students
  • Initiating and expediting requests for consultations and scheduling special tests and studies
