DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES

The Mayo Clinic Department of Neurology is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Neuromuscular Neurologist to join an established and growing practice at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

We are actively recruiting a neuromuscular specialist who will thrive within the Mayo culture and is passionate about clinical neurology and delivering care to patients in a highly integrated system. Ideal candidates will be superb clinicians fellowship trained in EMG/neuromuscular neurology. In addition to clinical care, we are seeking colleagues motivated to develop careers including education, quality improvement, and research in collaboration with the department and our relationship with Mayo Clinic Rochester and the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire.

 

The Eau Claire practice currently has six neurologists with fellowship-trained specialists in cerebrovascular neurology, movement disorders, sleep, and epilepsy. We also have two advanced practice providers specializing in headache, stroke, and concussion. All have academic appointments.

 

Mayo Clinic Health System - Eau Claire has a 210 bed hospital and extensive outpatient practice providing comprehensive subspecialty medical and surgical care.  Our facility maintains an EMG Laboratory Accreditation with Exemplary status from the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM).  We steadily maintain high EMG volumes and would welcome the addition of a board certified electromyographer to perform more complex and advanced studies. The hospital is a designated primary stroke center, with a dedicated RN stroke coordinator.  The facility includes a certified EEG lab along with NAEC Level 3 certified two bed epilepsy monitoring unit

With an abundance of outdoor activities, The city also serves as the retail center for west central Wisconsin and the major metro area of Minneapolis/St. Paul is 90 minutes away.
