A nationally recognized, not-for-profit health system in Columbus, Ohio is hiring inpatient & outpatient neurologists and neurointensivists to service a growing need in Central Ohio. This is an opportunity to join one of the largest comprehensive Neuroscience programs in the country. This is a nationally recognized, innovative healthcare system delivering world-class patient care.

Columbus Stroke Highlights:

  •  Join a group of vascular neurologists to cover one of the largest stroke programs in the region
  • Coverage through a traditional stroke service supported by trained APPs and a Telemedicine stroke network
  • Comprehensive Stroke Center with 1,059 beds (200 thrombectomy cases/year), four Primary Stroke Center and region's mobile stroke unit
  • Research opportunities through Research Institute, if desired (involved with many leading clinical trials such as DAWN, SWIFT Prime, ESCAPE-NA1, etc.)
  • Typical day consists of 10 new patients and 12 follow-ups
  • Clinical duties include the daily management of stroke service patients and provision of evaluative services for those with urgent procedural need for symptomatic or asymptomatic carotid stenosis.
  • Rounding in-person with the help on an APP
  • Epic for EMR
  • Monday-Friday schedule includes rotating through clinic and virtual rounding

Columbus Epilepsy Highlights:

  • Join an established practice that provides multidisciplinary and comprehensive care through collaborative efforts with epileptologists, neurologists, neurosurgeons and more
  • Inpatient and outpatient opportunity (EMU, LTM, EEG Reading, OP Clinic) based out of the Level 4 NAEC epilepsy center in Columbus and outreach locations throughout the healthcare system
  • Full spectrum of surgical procedures and access to the latest technology for epilepsy surgery (invasive monitoring including stereo-EEG, grids, as well as VNS, RNS, DBS, laser ablation)
  • Dedicated full-time Social Worker (LISW)
  • Three dedicated full-time Nurses
  • Two dedicated full-time Advanced Practice Nurses
  • Research opportunities through the health system's Research Institute, if desired
  • Opportunity to be part of a world-class Neuroscience program and service line

Columbus Access Clinic and Cognitive/Behavioral Neurology Highlights:

  • 2 positions available at Neuroscience Wellness Center
  • 100% Cognitive/Behavioral volume
  • Opportunity to step into immediate volume and build a practice quickly
  • Average of 6-8 patients per day
  • Zero hospital call required
  • Director of Cognitive Neurology title available for interested candidates
  • Geriatricians are also on site
  • Work out of an outpatient access clinic
  • Dedicated RN, Full-time social worker, and plans to hire APPs
  • Opportunities are available for dedicated research time
  • Resident/fellowship stipend available for those who qualify
  • $25k training stipend available for current trainees

North of Columbus Hospital and Position Highlights:​

  • 326-bed hospital
  • Northcentral Ohio’s only full-service hospital
  • Primary Stroke Center
  • Conveniently located between Columbus and Cleveland, 65 miles from each
  • General neurology opportunity
  • Ability to read EEG or EMG welcome but not required
  • Non-burdensome call schedule
  • No stroke call
  • Substantial growth opportunity within the central Ohio market
  • Primarily outpatient position, with some inpatient responsibility
  • Competitive compensation package including, sign-on bonus, relocation expenses, student loan repayment, and resident/fellowship stipend available for those who qualify
  • J-1 visa waivers available
  • $50k training stipend available for current trainees

Neurocritical Care Highlights:

  • Alternate service between Flagship Medical Center and consult Medical Center
  • No General Neurology Call
  • Average of 16 patients per day
  • one location runs as consult service, the other runs as admitting
  • APP Support available
  • Advanced diagnostic options include 24-hour cEEG, readily available 4v angiography, TCD, CT on the unit, and invasive monitoring such as brain tissue oxygen monitoring
