DIVISION HEAD, PEDIATRIC NEUROLOGY AND DEVELOPMENTAL MEDICINE

Cooper University Health Care and Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) are actively committed to diversity at all levels of the organization and are seeking a Division Head, Pediatric Neurology & Development to join our faculty at Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Board Certified Pediatric Neurologist to lead this division of 2 other full time child neurologists, a Pediatric PM&R physician, and 2 advanced practice nurses.

Responsibilities for this key leadership position include the provision of outpatient care to children from birth to 21 years of age, hospital consultations, EEG interpretation, and on-call coverage on a rotating schedule. In addition to the provision and supervision of quality clinical care, this leader will also contribute to the department’s academic agenda, including educational conferences, quality improvement projects, and education of medical students and pediatric/adult neurology residents. Employment includes an academic appointment with CMSRU, commensurate with academic and research experience. CUHC and CMSRU are actively committed to diversity at all levels of the organization.

Cooper University Hospital, located in Camden, NJ, is well-known for providing high quality care with the only state designated acute care children’s hospital in southern New Jersey, a Regional Perinatal Center, Level III NICU, Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center, PICU, and dedicated Pediatric ED.  The hospital is easily accessed from multiple Southern New Jersey suburban locations or from Philadelphia by car or public transportation.  This sought after locale is also just an hour away from the Jersey Shore.
