The Department is one of the nation’s largest teams of top specialists who utilize an interdisciplinary care model and offer opportunities for patients to participate in clinical trials, patient support and educational programs.
We are seeking candidates with:
Focus on collaboration, innovation, and teamwork
Board certification or Board-eligible in Neurology with fellowship training in Neurocritical Care
Candidates who have passed, or are eligible to take, the UCNS Subspecialty Certification in Neurocritical Care are preferred.
Academic orientation, enthusiasm for teaching, passion for outreach and research
Our opportunity:
High volume, tertiary referral center serving a large population where a broad range of common acute neurological conditions are encountered
Rapidly growing NSICU, set to double in size by end of the year
Involvement in the teaching of medical students, neurosurgery residents, and active neurocritical care fellows
Fast-growing current census of patients with high demand for neurocritical care physicians
The Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit (NSICU) is a semi-closed ICU staffed full time by dedicated neurointensivists. The ICU has access to continuous EEG monitoring, multiple bedside ultrasounds, video laryngoscopy, bronchoscopes, PbO2 monitors and more.
Minimal, shared backup call with all Neurosurgery faculty
Special interests fully supported, including Quality and Process Improvement projects to drive clinical performance

Collaborative and intellectually stimulating team composed of 5+ critical care faculty, 2 neuro-oncologists, 13 neurosurgeons, 1 interventional neurologist, 24+ APPs, research coordinators, nursing staff, and comprehensive administrative support.
Using the most advanced technologies and supported by innovative facilities, we pool our expertise to provide a collaborative approach to each patient’s diagnosis, treatment planning and care.
