Neurologist - Sleep Disorders

The Jefferson Sleep Disorders Center, at the Vickie & Jack Farber Institute for Neuroscience at Thomas Jefferson University, is now accepting applications for a full-time adult neurologist with specialty training in sleep medicine at the assistant/associate professor level. Applicants must have MD or DO degrees, be board certified in neurology, and board certified or eligible in sleep medicine. 

The position will focus on the outpatient evaluation and management of sleep disordered patients at the Jefferson Sleep Disorders Center, whose ambulatory clinics are located in Center City Philadelphia and surrounding areas, and performing inpatient sleep medicine consultations at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience, also located in Center City Philadelphia.  It also involves review and interpretation of polysomnographic studies.  Support will be provided for the development of a program for the detection, assessment and management of OSA in stroke patients of the Jefferson Comprehensive Stroke Program.  Teaching of fellows in sleep medicine and other trainees, and the development of independent research are expected.

The position reports to the Director of the Jefferson Sleep Disorders Center. Duties include participation in the faculty overnight and weekend call schedule, which involves off-site telephone coverage about every four weeks.
