Adult and Child Neurology Opportunities at Academically-Affiliated Hospital in Illinois

A 433-bed tertiary care hospital, and the area’s only Level I Trauma Center in East-Central Illinois, together with its Medical Director of the Neurosciences Institute, and the VP of the Neurosciences Institute, is excited to welcome additional inpatient and outpatient sub-specialized adult neurologists to join its team, as well as pediatric neurologists.

On the inpatient side, the team is looking forward to further developing the stroke service line. General neurologists with interests in neurohospitalist work and stroke-trained neurologists are invited to apply and enjoy a fully sub-specialized practice. Candidates with interests in developing a dedicated neuro-critical care unit would also be of interest.

On the outpatient side, general neurology candidates, and candidates fellowship-trained in Headache, MS/neuro-immunology, and movement disorders. Additionally, candidates with interest in Neuro-Ophthalmology and Neuro-Oncology would be of interest to the program.

The new pediatric neurologist will join a group of 2 new pediatric neurologists who are starting in the fall (2020) and 2 part-time locum neurologists. There is an opportunity for the medical director of pediatric neurology for the right candidate.

East-Central Illinois:
The area is anchored by the principal cities of Champaign and Urbana and is home to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The location is home to a beautifully diverse and intellectual population, a plethora of very affordable housing options, and many private and public schooling selections; it is the quintessential location to raise a family or put down roots.
