Chicago, IL

Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical College, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of Chief of the Section of Multiple Sclerosis in Department of Neurological Sciences. The ideal candidate will be an Associate Professor or Professor of Neurology, with fellowship training in neuroimmunology and MS, a nationally-recognized educator, an accomplished clinician with strong leadership skills, and possess a track-record as an independently-funded research scientist. Candidates must be board certified.

This is an excellent opportunity to lead one of the largest Multiple Sclerosis Centers in the Midwest. Our dedicated Rush MS specialists take a proactive and comprehensive approach to the diagnosis and management of this often complex disease. At Rush, treatments are tailored to each person's type of MS, and may include cutting-edge or experimental therapies in addition to established treatments approved by the FDA.

The Rush Department of Neurological Sciences has a long history of excellence and was recently ranked #3 in the nation by US News and World Report. There are wonderful opportunities to collaborate clinically with over 100 faculty spanning the neurologic subspecialties and to teach with over 40 residents and fellows including an MS specific fellowship. The department also boasts a strong research infrastructure allowing faculty to thrive in their research pursuits. Rush has made a commitment to significantly grow the already robust neuroscience program and footprint regionally and nationally, including with a new ambulatory building scheduled to open in 2023.
