A large healthcare system in Upstate NY has identified outpatient neurology, sleep neurology and interventional stroke services as areas with room for growth, and so they are dedicated to expanding their Neurology Team.
Practice Highlights:
- Night call to be shared with a local private group; 1:5 with plans to improve
- Faculty appointment
- Current 3-4 month wait time for patients
- APC support
- Competitive compensation package with student loan forgiveness option
- H-1B visa support
Outpatient Highlights:
- EEG, EMG and IOM capabilities
- High referral numbers for EEG & EMG
Sleep Position Highlights:
- Sleep Center is accredited through the American Academy of Sleep Medicine
- Join 1 full-time sleep physician, 1 sleep APP, and 5 sleep technicians
- Approximately 180 sleep and HST studies per month
- No neurology call; occasional call from evening sleep techs
Interventional Stroke:
- 26 weeks of service/ year
- See ~125 interventional cases and ~200 diagnostic cases per year
- Medical/ Surgical/ Neuro ICU with 14 beds, flexed to meet each service's needs. Separate 16-bed cardio-vascular ICU
- Bi-planar angio, Camino ICP monitoring equipment, CSF drainage equipment, Cadwell vEEG monitoring
- Closed NeuroICU service for support
- Close collaboration with neurosurgery
- Faculty appointment at SUNY Upstate
- APC support
- Competitive compensation package with student loan forgiveness option
- H1-b sponsorship and J-1 waiver available
